Financial Education
I'm a big fan of Morningstar's website. I like their portfolio tools better than MSN or Yahoo's, and I also like their columns and forums.
One of the best features is their Investing Education section. They offer free short courses on a wide range of topics, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and portfolio management. You earn credits in the courses which can be traded for stuff, like Morningstar books. I have two morningstar travel mugs (no longer offered on the site) that I earned by taking enough courses.
The courses range from the basics (like Funds 101: What is a mutual fund) to the more advanced (Funds 302: Building Your Mutual Fund Portfolio) to the really advanced (Funds 406: Sector-Fund Investing). After each course is a five question quiz. The courses are clear and concise, and I've learned a lot from them.
You will need to register on the site that take the courses, but basic registration (all that is required) is free.
